Updates & Thoughts

My goal, friends, is to use this page as a place for transparency.  I want to give updates on the book (as they come available) as well as take the opportunity to discuss what's on my mind when it comes to navigating this world as a author, therapist and DV survivor.  I want to talk about thoughts on next steps in terms of supporting myself and others.  Think of this as an open forum journal, of sorts.

Being an author - someone who is arguably very exposed to their community - is an interesting spot to be in when in juxtaposition to also being a therapist and domestic violence survivor, both of which are positions - titles, if you will - that tend to be associated with a certain level of guardedness.  I am finding this to be a new and interesting intersection of identities to navigate, and I am hopeful that it will lead to more reflections - both individual and community-wide - of what it means to show up as both a professional and a person.

It's official, everyone!  Refund Please is going to print!  I still do not have a date for when it will be released, but I will ABSOLUTELY post about it here when I know more.  It's quite surreal to even be saying that my book is going to print.  It felt like a pipe dream a couple years ago...and here we are.  It just goes to show that dream don't have to just be dreams.
