Here's my story: I was up late one night, proud of myself for writing a whole damn book and getting it published, and I thought to myself: 'How amazing would it be if I could make a living off of my passion for writing and talking about interpersonal violence and mental health?'  And not only that, but also: 'How amazing would it be if I could just be my authentic self through it all?'

In the REFUND model posed within my book, I highlight how D stands for the phase of discovering myself.  And while lying in bed that night, I discovered that while I might not know the in's & out's of doing a podcast, I wanted my next venture to be a podcast...and what's better than doing a podcast with the woman who has been by my side for it all?  That's where my mom comes into the picture.
