Sunshine

You feel like the sun lilting, laughing
& refracting ‘cross the kitchen tiles that
Just moments ago, gleamed
With the night sky’s eeriness.
You bewitch me like the wind chimeÂ
&the way it freezes time with its song.
You feel like rolling vineyards
Rifling in the summer eve’s air.
You feel like a barely contained laugh
Caught and carried in the breeze.
You feel like sunshine
Seeping its way through the curtains,
Warming my cheek, asking me to play.
You feel like something I’ve not felt -Â
Not in a long time, not with another.
You feel like home.
Yes, that’s it.
Home.
